Tips to Rejuvenate during Lockdown : Ayurvedic Way.


Many of us may be stressed and anxious due to uncertainity caused by Covid- 19 . We are bound to stay at home for our and our family's safety. But we can utilise this time to detoxify our mind , body and soul.
By following Ayurvedic lifestyle we can rejuvenate our entire physiology.


1 .# Rule No. 1 Follow Daily Regime :

Amidst of this situation many of us must be busy on social networking sites and watching web series late in the night ; this makes us wake late in morning.
Avoid this routine it may bring severe physiological imbalances and many of them must have even started experiencing Constipation , irregular bowel pattern, Indigestion, Loss of appetite, Body Fatigue this is because this routine aggravates Vata and leads to such problems.

 : Go to bed max by 10 or 10: 30 PM and wake up early . First rays of sunlight helps our body to synthesise Vit D and Vit E naturally.

Dental Care :

Mix Triphala, Trikatu  (Kali mirch, (pippali, (sonth), Trijat ( Choti elaichi, dalchini and Tejpatta) and Kushta mix them in honey and gently massage your teeth.
This strengthens teeth and gums, kills germs, arrest gum bleeding and heals wound.
Tongue Cleaning : Use Copper Tongue scrapers to cleanse your tongue.

Wash your face :

 Early morning fill your mouth with water and wash your eyes with plain water, Amla water or Lodhra water ( properly washed, diluted and strained ).
 this Improves vision , Dryness of eyes.






Instill nasal drops :


Two drops of Anu Oil , plain cow ghee or almond oil should be instilled in each nostril.
 This prevents entry of germs in airways, clears nasal passage, prevents ENT disorders, premature greying of hair and wrinkles and brings mental clarity.

Oil Pulling :
Oral cavity ( mouth) should be filled with Irimedadi oil , coconut oil , luke warm water ( in absence of both of them). This helps to keep dental disorders at bay .

Daily Massage your Body with Sesame oil/ coconut oil. This strengthens bones tone muscles. Improves blood circulation, elimination and lusture of skin. removes mental and physical fatigue.
If full body massage is not possible than min of head massage and foot massage should be done.

Putting Oil in Ear : Prevents Ear ache, lock jaw, headaches and ringing sound in ear (tinnitus)

Exercise Regularly :It will improve digestion and assimilation of food . But, Remember Half the Stamina of your body. Else, it may cause breathlessness, cough and fatigue.
Otherwise Sedentary lifestyle may cause obesity and related disorders.

# Rule No 2: Eat Right




  • Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • Each meal should be enriched with Carbohydrates, Proteins, fats , Vitamins and Minerals.
  • Stomach should be filled half or three quarters with solid food.
  • Never watch TV while having meal.
  • Do not exercise soon after having meal.
  • Dinner should be light; Avoid eating after 8 PM.


# Rule No.3 : Follow Seasonal Regime :



Change in season brings changes in human physiology also. if dietary modifications are not done accordingly they causes lot of diseases. This is a season of Cold, congestion, allergies and hay fever.
This is Vasant Ritu (Spring Season ) : In this season Kapha aggravates and lower the digestive fire. This may cause many digestive ailments if we do not follow
By keeping this in mind we need to follow some rules.

DO'S :
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Add Honey to your meal . Honey balances the aggravated Kapha dosha.
  • Oat and Wheat products should me consumed more.
  • Udwartan

WATER : herbs should be infused in water and consumed to balance the vitiated doshas.

  • Ginger water
  • Nagarmotha
  • Vijaysaar
  • Honey mixed in water.

Dont's :
Avoid eating Stale, heavy, processed, canned and refrigerated food. it  is hard to digest already digestion is sluggish in this season.Avoid eating Curd in this season.
Do not sleep during day time.

#Rule No. 3: Meditate Daily.



In present scenario we are filled lot of uncertainity, doubts and negative emotions. These thoughts are damaging like chemical toxins. Stress hormones are released which in turn causes diseases.
 to get rid of these thoughts it is not possible for everyone and they do not allow us to focus on important things. So to balance emotional health we need to meditate.
Meditation works as Medicine. It helps and let go thougths.
